En: Since i found out we were moving to France ,i knew i wanted to visit The Palace of Versailles. The night before the big visit i barely slept. You know that felling when you are almost in the place you wanted to see the most and you have butterflies in your stomach?

In 1661 , Ludovic the XIV decided to move out of Paris and so, on Versailles domain , one of the most luxurious and powerful Palace was built ,here rested the supreme royal chateau. First we took the “Luxury Road” , where with each step we took we were reminded of the power and wealth of the “Sun King”: The Royal Apartments decorated with marble and gold , the beautiful Mirror Room with those huge 17 mirrors ( in that time mirrors were extremely expensive) , silver furniture, golden chandeliers ,damask curtains.

It took 40 years for the gardens to look the way they look now because Ludovic the XIV considered that the gardens were as important as the Palace.

The Gardens of Versailles have 200.000 trees , hundreds of statues ,1700 fountains and pools. In this dreamy natural space over 210.000 flowers are planted each year. It’s a work of art , a green universe , it’s a piece of heaven on Earth …

Ro: Din momentul in care am stiut ca ne mutam in Franta mi-am dorit sa vizitez Palatul Versailles.

In momentul in care am pasit in curte ne-a intampinat o priveliste care taie respiratia.

Enjoy and stay chic…
